Inspired by a historical moment in 1943, when Sicily was temporarily governed by an American military administration, the documentary weaves a vision of an "American Sicily," blending Western motifs with the spirit of the Southern States of the U.S.This project is an observation of this cultural clash, documenting Sicily like it was Texas or Arizona, celebrating imageries that we know from contemporary movies and American photographers' work.
